Dr Jacqueline Filshie
MBBS FRCA DipMedAc
Appointments
Dr Filshie sees patients at:
Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Private Oncology patients only)
Sutton Monday 2.00 pm onwards
Nuffield Cancer Centre London (Any condition requiring acupuncture)
Monday am
The number of treatments required will vary from patient to patient, depending on the condition being treated and Dr Filshie will recommend a suitable course of acupuncture in each case. Patients should allow up to 45 minutes for their first session.
You will be asked about your medical history in general and about your specific condition in particular. A referral from your usual doctor is preferred, and if you have information about your condition, such as scans or reports, it is helpful if you can bring them to your first appointment for Dr Filshie to see. This will help her to decide on the ideal course of acupuncture for you as an individual.
Acupuncture is a very safe therapy with low risk of side effects. Dr Filshie will discuss the risks with you before treatment. If you have not had acupuncture in the past you should be aware that it may make you feel a little drowsy and you might need to relax briefly before travelling home.
Dr Filshie is recognised by most health insurance providers; you will be asked in advance for your membership and claim/authorisation number if your treatment is to be covered by your private health insurance.
Please telephone or email to make an appointment, or for further information, including charges.
